SATE '11 Orlando panel: The Puzzle of Live Production
Greg Brown started his show business career as a singer/dancer. His professional career includes Broadway shows, regional theaters, Las Vegas revues, and cruise ships. He eventually found home in Orlando with the Walt Disney World Company.
While performing professionally, he never gave up his passion for the costuming that he was wearing. He took advantage of every costume fitting. He noticed all the details and effort that it took to create beautiful costumes that were yet comfortable for athletes to perform in.
Along with his business partner, Pamela Bolling, they started Hardrive Productions whose costuming department has become renowned worldwide for spectacular costume fabrications.
Greg’s’ design choices have been seen around the globe in many world class productions such as: Super Bowl XXXII, Disney Cruise Lines, Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, “Disney on Ice,” and Busch Gardens' “Jungala.”
Greg has spent time at all three SeaWorld Theme Parks creating aquatic-inspired theatrical costumes for Blue Horizons, Azule, Waggin Tails, Viva, Rockin’ Ski Show, Shamu Rocks, Kinetix, Zoncos, as well as the new production of A’lure, the elaborately costumed spectacular.
Greg and his team are continuously creating new and exciting costumes worn by animal handlers, puppeteers, stilt walkers, ice skaters, dances, and a variety of athletes.
