Dale is a highly distinguished Creative Leader and Artist within the themed entertainment industry. He began his career with Universal Studios Hollywood over 20 years ago and quickly became responsible for conceptual design, refinement development and execution of Universal’s most successful and technologically advanced shows and attractions. He particularly made his mark at Universal as the key visionary behind the concept, design and construction of Islands of Adventure. Under Dale’s guidance and influence, Universal Creative has consistently taken top honors among industry trade groups for innovation and immersive story telling.

Dale has an extensive background in all aspects of entertainment design and development. He has been intimately involved with the master planning and land use development for Islands of Adventure, Porte Aventura in Spain, Universal Studios Shanghai, Dubai and other international concepts. Other projects he has been involved with include conceptual design for Wakayama Marina City in Japan, Steven Spielberg’s Dive Restaurants, and numerous theatrical productions.

In his current role of Vice President & Executive Art Director, Dale is responsible for the creative direction and execution of all UPR projects worldwide while leading a distinguished studio of highly talented artists, designers and writers. Dale also leads Universal’s Blue Sky Team which is responsible for imagining, creating and developing Universal’s next generation of blockbuster shows and attractions.
